Fixed prosthetics
Crowns, bridges and inlays
Prosthetic restorations for missing teeth, teeth with little structure left, teeth with root canals and other reasons. Their advantage is that they stay fixed in your mouth, so you don't need to take them out during the day. An evaluation is needed to determine whether you're a candidate for this type of prosthesis.
The price is given after your exam, because every procedure and every patient is different. You can ask the exam price on WhatsApp.
Is it for you?
- You're missing a tooth and want something fixed, not a removable plate.
- You have a tooth with little structure left or with a root canal.
- A large filling no longer holds and the tooth could break.
How it works
- 1Evaluation. He determines whether you're a candidate and whether you'll need anesthesia, and checks the teeth that will receive the prosthesis.
- 2He prepares the teeth and takes impressions. You leave with a temporary while the permanent one is made.
- 3He tries in and places the permanent one. And adjusts your bite so it closes evenly.
Afterwards
- Clean it like your own teeth. Under a bridge, use special floss or an interdental brush.
- Avoid biting very hard things with that tooth.
- Checkups every six months.
Questions
Crown, bridge or inlay?
A crown covers an entire damaged tooth. A bridge replaces a missing one, resting on the teeth next to it. An inlay covers only the damaged part of the tooth.
Is anesthesia used?
Some fixed prostheses need it and others don't. It's decided once your fixed prosthesis evaluation is done.
Will it look natural?
It's made in the shade of your teeth so it blends in.
